Honoring women

On Mother’s Day this year, join me in taking time to reflect on a special woman who has made a difference in your life, a woman who helped you become the person you are today.

When I think about my career in politics I’m absolutely sure that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love, strength, and support my mother, Lori, has given me.

She’s been there for me through every turn and I am so thankful. That’s why, this Mother’s Day, I’m honoring her with a contribution to EMILY’s List. Because she dropped everything to volunteer during my toughest campaigns and because she never let me quit, no matter what.

Just like my mom, there are women all over the country making an incredible impact. And this year, we need to be standing together to protect all the work these women have done – because generations to come are relying on us. That’s what we are working to do at EMILY’s List, every single day. By electing more pro-choice Democratic women, we know that our hard-fought freedoms will be kept safe.

Today, let’s remember all the women who’ve empowered us -- in our careers, in the fight for our rights, and in our everyday lives. And let’s make this Mother’s Day one where we really show our gratitude.

The women who’ve brought us where we are today are truly amazing. Thank you to my mom and to all these amazing mothers. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you.

Make this Mother’s Day extra special. Join me and honor a woman who made a difference in your life by contributing to EMILY’s List.
