Yesterday the 113th Congress was sworn into office, including 16 new EMILY’s List women to the House and 9 EMILY’s List women to the Senate – and of course, Maggie Hassan, the only female Democratic governor in the entire country. What a way to kick off the new year: a new batch of pro-choice Democratic women in Congress who will continue fighting for women and families and holding Republicans accountable. We’re so proud of the accomplishments of these women, the leadership they’ll bring to office and all the progress they’ll achieve.
